Donna thank you so much for your article. I was just reading in Matthew this morning about `as it was in the day of Noah` and what came to me is that none prepared themselves for what Noah was preaching and living, As we are in the days of Noah my heart`s cry is can we hear the Lord saying "PREPARE" -- as did John the Baptist as well? I know Canada is on the list for a disaster too but it seems we are glazed with this unreality may God speak to us in a SHOUT that His mercy will prevail. Blessings Donna Bray
Published By Donna Bray - September 23 2005 15:19:45 Hi Donna...Boy! You hit it right on in your Friday column for the Gondolier. I really believe that we Americans better straighten up and fly right...as the song goes. How can we expect God to bless our nation which is becoming more Godless every day? Now in Sacramento removing God from the Pledge...all of the countless abortions...Now wonder God has shown us his wrath as in Biblical days.
Keep up the good work, my dear. Wish I could meet you someday in Venice. My picture is in that same paper...on page 4 touting the subject of my current TV show.on...Vee on Venice.

Published By Vee Garry-Chiulli - September 23 2005 11:18:30 I really appreciate the time you`ve all taken to write and encourage me because after reading two very mean-spirited (one outright nasty) comments about my article I started feeling like Elijah who went and hid in the cave because of the attack that came on him after he killed all the false prophets of Baal. God said to him, "RELAX Elijah, come out of that cave, there are 7,000 more out there who have not bowed their knee to Baal"
So thank you all & God Bless

I loved the article and have tremendous respect for you in telling the truth. Your articles have always blessed me and this one in particular read as if it was written by the hand of God. I have read the mean spirited comments on your website and I most definitely do not agree with them. Some Christians have their heads in the sand and do not realize when God is speaking to them through your articles. Keep being a blessing.
Love and prayers,

It`s never easy telling the truth because people only want to hear what makes them feel good to justify their own actions. Whenever light is shone into darkness, the people react with anger. But as your messages state, if God is real, if there really is a Heaven & a Hell, then it really is a matter of life & death to preach the truth to people. Now whether they choose to receive it or not is always up to them, but at least they can`t say "I never knew the truth". Keep on speaking what`s in your heart.
A faithful admirer.

Jeremiah 6:10 - "To whom can I speak and give warning? Their ears are closed and they cannot hear. The Word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it."
Not all will not listen Miss Donna -- but MANY MORE will and their eternal souls will be saved.
May God bless you, your ministry and your love for the truth.

Your article was well written and the truth. Anyone who reads the bible knows exactly what you are saying. I pray that the eyes of many will be opened as you dare to "tell it like it is" in the BOOK!
I wonder -- Who parted the waters so that the Egyptians were drowned while the "chosen" crossed over.
My prayers are with you.
Published By Geralyn Wright - September 22 2005 16:39:3 Dear Bridget:
I’m sorry that you missed the message in my article.
Since the ‘Garden of Eden’ this planet has been groaning and travailing in pain and on a road to destruction. The Bible warns that ‘at this particular point in time’ things are going to get MUCH worse. It even talks about thermonuclear war. It is mankind that ‘blew’ it but mankind has been blaming God ever since.
God Himself came down to earth and died a cruel death to save us from the road we have put ourselves on, yet mankind continues to ignore Him and turn it’s back on Him.
God is not looking for perfect people. There are NO perfect people, just sinners that have repented of their sinful ways and who have turned to Him.
We cannot live any way we please and expect His blessings, just like we cannot smoke 3 packs of cigarettes per day and not expect lung cancer. We cannot eat fat & junk and expect to live a healthy, energetic & long life. There is a cause and effect to everything BUT as I pointed out in my article, Jesus is standing with His arms outstretched waiting for us to run to Him.
God CAN divert catastrophe. He has done it again and again throughout history, whenever people have fallen on their faces and called upon Him. Instead people are shaking their fists at God. Well He is a God of LOVE, but He is also a God of JUDGMENT, but it is a REDEMPTIVE JUDGMENT which will hopefully lead multitudes right into His arms.
I’d also like to point out that scripture tells us to ‘JUDGE WITH RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT’
See First Corinthians chapter 5. It tells us to ‘throw right out of the church those that are caught in a blatant sin and don’t even sit down and eat with such people because a little leaven leaveneth the entire lump’
The scripture you refer to in Matthew 7 actually STARTS up in Matthew 6 and should be read in context. It say, ‘Give, but don’t sound a trumpet while you are giving as the hypocrite does, to be seen by everyone (I’m paraphrasing right now because it’s almost 2:00 a.m.- I’ve had a L-O-N-G day)
Then it continues -- `Pray, but don’t pray like the hypocrites prays out in full view, but pray in secret to your Heavenly Father and He will reward you in secret. Fast, but do not fast as the hypocrites fast, putting on a sad face, letting everyone know how MUCH you’re suffering ----- then it continues, do not judge -- but FIRST pull the ‘BEAM’ out of your own eye so you can see clearly to take the ‘speck’ out of they brother`s. That is the righteous judgment that is from God’s point of view, which of course is the Bible. (Judging the type of vehicle your neighbor drives or judging whether he prays standing up, sitting down or on his knees is foolishness. Judging sin, especially in our own lives, is biblical) We are not to judge to cast stones but as I Corinthians 5 say, "so that in the end the person`s soul can be saved"
Holiness was NEVER an option. Hebrews 12:14 ‘Walk in peace with all men and holiness without which NO MAN SHALL SEE GOD’
Deut. 28 plainly states that ‘IF’ we OBEY His commands He will bless us in the city and bless us in the field; He’ll bless us as we come in and as we go out. He’ll make us the head and not the tail. It continues that if we DO NOT obey His commands, we will be cursed in the city etc etc etc. This nation was founded on the principles of God and it was the most ‘blessed & powerful nation’ on the planet. But whenever a nation turns from the one true God to other gods or turns their back on Him, the ‘blessings stop’ and God removes His hand of protection and blessings.
Don’t take my word for it, read your bible and look at history.
When Moses fell on his face and prayed, God changed His mind and did not destroy the people.
Throughout the Bible, when people repented and turned to God, judgment was stayed, Ninevah being once such example --- I could go on and on but I would have to quote the entire bible.
Just yesterday there was an article in the New York Times. It was Important enough for President Bush to address at the UN last week....
"Officials warn of a catastrophic flu pandemic that could leave tens of millions dead if the virus mutates as feared..... 57 people have already been killed. Talking about the AVIAN flu it continued .. .. It has killed 140 MILLION birds in ASIA & 112 people were infected.
If it becomes TRANSMISSIBLE BETWEEN HUMANS it will touch off a global pandemic. ....
We’ve never seen so much influenza in so many birds in such close proximity to humans in so many places. If ever there was a time when the risk (of a pandemic) was higher than usual, it is now.
At the U N President Bush proposed an ‘international partnership’ to combat the disease, requiring members facing an outbreak to share information IMMEDIATELY."
Then there’s Mad Cow Disease OUT THERE
Pakistan was on the brink of a nuclear war.
TERROR & FEAR will cause the HEARTS of many to FAINT
because of theTHINGS that are COMING UPON the EARTH
These are the ‘beginning of sorrows’ and it is time to REPENT & TURN BACK to GOD.
I did not mean to preach a sermon but this is VERY important at this time right now & with all that is coming upon mankind.
Loving people means telling them the truth.
Loving them enough to risk people calling them judgmental.
And, God loves people enough to withdraw His protective covering, if that is what it is going to take for them to not end up in hell.
Published By Donna Martonfi - September 22 2005 1:33:11 When I read your article, I just had to respond. I can hardly believe the things you said or "suggested". Your article had a definite "air of blame." I don`t live in New Orleans, but to suggest this awful tragedy is due to human fault and "moral decay" is at best insensitive, at worst cruel. It must be nice to sit on a lofty perch where the perfect people live, passing judgement on the "sinners" (Funny, I thought the Bible said "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." - Matthew 7:1 - and "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" - John 8:7)." I thought God was loving, benevolent and kind. You`d better hope that he IS forgiving, too, and that He`ll forgive you for writing this judgemental article. If your goal is to lead people to Christianity, I think it will have the opposite effect.
